My neck hurt for a couple of years, whats wrong?
In 2006 I was in a minor car accident, not one that made my pain neck. I did not have a whip or anything. I went to a chiropractor and everything seemed fine, but my neck started to hurt. Until now, the pain continues. I guess when I get stressed out or lay down to sleep, it hurts, sometimes even to the point that I can not sleep. I can withstand pain more often, but I just want to go. I went to the doctors and they just said I had to excersice, standing in the shower while the hot water dribbling down my neck, and to change my pillow. I tried everything but not cured. The only time it feels good, especially during the day. Anyone know what is wrong? Please help. Thanks! oh andd i crack my neck. I know that's bad, but could possibly be the reason of my neck it is?
As someone with this same exact situation, I will offer my experience. I was in a violent car accident which affected 90 degrees and I was the passenger side that was beaten. The chain reaction of my neck would have been beat fascinating to see in slow motion, but the long-term effects have been learning to live a life of pain. As a result, damaged three vert in my neck, all in a myself standing for hours in an attempt to find the smallest bit of relief. Pillows, showers and Motrin are all good things to use, but the bottom line is, once the neck to slide out of alignment, nothing helps until you're back in the position that is supposed to be and that will usually only be corrected by a chiropractor. The vertebrae are designed to fit in one position, and when they move or slip "Out of alignment" that exerts undue pressure on the small nerves that run through the spine, which in many cases, cause pain and numbness or tingling in the shoulder, neck, arms and hands / Fingers. The answer, in short, you may need a semi regular visits to the chiropractor regularly for relief. I do, and the relief is well worth the $ 34 which is each time I go.
