What does having a preliminary hearing canceled?

Does this http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/oct/14/simon-singh-chiropractors-appeal means that more now? Or that the judge's decision was rejected simply? Please describe it in layman term. I am very interested in the case. I'm confused for the title of the article because its Web site, you are still able to sign the petition, which means it has not been done? http://www.simonsingh.net/ TY

Nope. This is not over. The case has just begun. The court's decision was the definition of some words. The judge made a decision about those words in a preliminary hearing and it appears that Singh felt as if the definition of the judge would have hurt his case. The judge's decision on this specific issue was which was annulled. It seems as if the judge made a decision on any other portion of the case.
