Where is the best place in North Carolina to go to?

We are planning a trip to North Carolina to check out the area and are trying planning a nice defeat deice where we want to help us move. My husband is a chiropractor so that it is likely that the opening of a new practice, and I am planning to open a restaurant. So we want a good area, we can raise a family in. How is Cary? Raleigh?
